Should You Pay For Ringtones?

Have you visited various ringtone site and either they wanted 1 of the 2 things:

1) Money
2) Your Cell Phone Number

Yep!!! .. seems as if I guessed right! Why should you pay for ringtones is the topic of conversation for this post. For sure most of the Carriers charge any where from .99 to 2.99 (sometimes higher) per download. This post isn't a knock against any of the Carriers and other sites that offer ringtones at cost. Tune Us In say " put your money back in your wallet and we not interested in your cellphone number" - that's your personal number stop giving it out!!

Since day 1 Tune Us In has always given you the users free ringtones. It's online presense has grown at an outstanding rate especially in the Blackberry Community. Year 2008, TUI will blow the doors off the ringtone industry doors. Needless to say TUI haven't forgot about about the rest of your smartphone users be on the look for some really cool interesting and innovative ideas. I hear daily conversation from the PMC Managment Team and these guys mean business.

Trying out Instrumentals

We have gotten several requests for "Instrumental Only" ringtones, and we are starting to fill those requests.

Right now, they are located in the Instrumentals/Easy Listening, but will soon be moving to their own page.

We have everything from Jay Z to Carie Underwood to Alicia Keys, so check it out and tell us what you think!

New features are coming to the site. In the next few days we will be adding some hot blackberry themes to our site. Make sure you come check out the great new themes page.

Also, you will see some new smartphone applications at our new store that will be coming through in January of 2008.

New Release Tuesday

As most of the world knows, Tuesday is new music day. New Releases fill the airwaves and cd stores. Today we had the release of Mary J. Blige, whose album I give 3 stars, and Chingy, whose album is a 3 star release as well. The hot track that Tuneusin liked on Mary's was Fade Away and on Chingy is Fly like me with Amerie. Of course, we have some tones from the albums up in the R&B section so make sure you check it out.

Best Week Ever - Dec 17-22

Let's make this the best week ever for Tuneusin.com. Tell two or three of your friends about the site and lets get as many visitors as we can. Let's get requests up around 1000 this week. Also, we are looking for your input on what other stuff you want on our site.
By the way my prediction was off on the Pats Jets games. 20-10. I was only 50 points off. Shock of the day in the NFL was Philly beating Dallas althought the sorry Redskins won a big one to stay in playoff contention.

Ringtone Requests Update

Ok. We have had a sick number of requests for Lupe Fiasco in the last 3 days so check the site and get your lupe fiasco. Also, Wu Tang has been requested and we answered. We got some tracks from the new album and some old. But we are trying to get to everyone's request so be patient. We will get yours up.

Send in your ringtone requests directly from your BlackBerry!

Have a song on your MicroSD card that you want to have created into a ringtone? Then send it to us directly from your BlackBerry and we will email you back the ringtone to your BlackBerry once it's completed!

It's simple.

Just compose an email to tunerequest@tuneusin.com.
Then click the menu button and Attach File.
Go to your media card, the songs, click it and send it.
Get the ringtone back attached as a file and save it on your device!
It's that easy!

It takes about 3 minutes to send the email on CDMA and WiFi, and approximately 7-10 minutes when on GSM EDGE.

Currently we have only tested the BlackBerry devices, however, if you are a smartphone user with songs on your device, send them in to us so we will know which models work and we can inform everyone!
